Does drinking wine give off a different intoxication effect, than drinking other alcohol beverages?

If you mean drunkeness, no, ethyl alcohol is ethyl alcohol. However, the inTOXICation is different. The other chemicals produced in fermentation, methyl alcohol, esters, etc. vary from drink to drink. You know the way that bad moonshine will make you go blind and kill you? All those poisons are present in wine, beer, and all undistilled alcoholic drinks (and to a lesser extent in spirits), just not concentrated enough to kill you before the ethyl alcohol would have already killed you. This accounts for the variety of sensations you might feel while intoxicated and when hung over the next day.
